Heart screening for 14 up to 15 yrs old in Felixstowe Area.

The Lions Club of Felixstowe and the Felixstowe Town Council are funding a Heart Screening Project for young persons who live in the Felixstowe area. The young people being screened  MUST be 14yrs old on the 15th January 2016 up to 15yrs old on that date.

The screening is at the Felixstowe Academy, High Road, Felixstowe on Sat. 16th January 2016.

This project is to celebrate 100 years  of  Lions International and is part of numerous special events happening all over the world during the coming year.

The Heart screening is open to all young persons who are resident in the Felixstowe, Trimley and  Kirton area who may attend schools outside Felixstowe.

The CRY organisation (Cardiac Risk in the Young) are responsible for conducting the Screening which consist of non-evasive ECG and Echo monitoring with trained personnel, a doctor will also be in attendance to follow up any concerns.

To book an appointment in complete confidentiality the following instructions must be followed.

Log on to  www.testmyheart.org   at the top of the page it says  Private Screenings, click on that, scroll down and you will see a list of Private Screening sessions.

Go to the Felixstowe Academy entry on Jan 16th and click on the name. You will be asked for a password.

The password is ;-  Lions16  (please ensure you use the capital  letter where necessary)

You will then be taken to a page with the map and address and it says “Places Available”  Click on that and you will be taken to the Booking Calendar. Just choose a time, fill in the details and click on Book.

If for any reason you book a space and later find you cannot attend please inform the CRY organisation as soon as possible as spaces are limited, another young person could fill the space to avoid wasting it.
