Bath Road, Felixstowe – Emergency Road Repairs – 22nd October 2019

Posted by Town Hall Staff 16 October 2019

Suffolk Highways  will be carrying out emergency road repair works outside property no 87 Bath Road, Felixstowe to investigate possible cause of carriageway subsidence and assess what further works are
required. The work is planned to be carried on Tuesday 22nd October, starting around 9am and depending on the result of the investigation they may require a road closure in order to carry out the works safely. Please refer to Suffolk Highways Twitter; @suff_highways for any further updates on these
investigation works.

During the period of the works traffic on site will be controlled by 2-way temporary Stop/Go traffic
control. There may be short, unavoidable while the works are in progress and Highways apologise in
advance for any inconvenience caused. Access to properties and businesses within the site will be
available. If access is required, please approach a member of staff who will provide access as
soon as it is safe to do so.

It would be much appreciated if all parked vehicles could be moved from around the
location of the defect early Tuesday morning to enable the Traffic Management Team to set
up before works commence, so that they can access the area and carry out the works safely.
Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times. These temporary traffic management measures are required to allow the works to be carried out safely and in accordance with current Health and Safety guidelines.

If you have any questions about the work, please call them on 0345 606 6171.
Once they have completed the works, it would be helpful if you could take a few moments to
complete a short survey at www.suffolk.gov.uk/suffolk-highways-survey. Your answers will help them
improve their service in the future.
