On Friday 31 January 2020, Cllr Nick Barber will lay a wreath to commemorate the 1953 North Sea Floods, which claimed 41 lives locally and over 300 people in English coastal towns and villages.

The Mayor of Felixstowe, Cllr Nick Barber said, “Please join with us as we reflect on the tragedy that occurred 67 years ago that day. Those we lost, those that saved lives and the impact on those who survived remain part of the fabric of Felixstowe and the strong community of our town.”

The short service will take place at 10am at the Flood Memorial, Langer Road, Felixstowe, led by Reverend Andrew Dotchin, Vicar of Felixstowe Town and Rural Dean of the Colneys.

All are welcome to attend.
