Suffolk Highways will be carrying out road repairs along Micklegate Road, Felixstowe to improve the existing road surface and prepare for surface dressing taking place at a later date. The work is planned to start on 6th September 2017 and will continue for 1 day. The times and dates of works may change depending on the weather conditions. If they do change, Suffolk Highways will inform members of the public by the information signs on site. The road will be temporarily closed to through traffic for the duration of the works. Access to properties and businesses will be available but controlled by staff on site. Please speak to one of their staff who will provide access as soon as it is safe to do so. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
During the period of the closure, traffic will be diverted via Langer Road, Platters Road, Sea Road and vice versa. On street parking will be restricted to allow the repairs to be carried out unobstructed.
